Adding to your website
To both types of site you can add further functionality such as an availability calendar, shopping cart, online booking, blog, user-updatable announcements section, etc. You can also add other design features. Below are a few examples.
Flash banners
These can be as large as you want with a colour to suit your colour scheme and a choice from a range of text and background effects. This banner is set to stop after a certain number of loops. Refresh the page to begin it again.
Note that there will be a small extra charge for work in Flash. You also need to appreciate that the banner will not be visible to visitors who do not have the Adobe Flash Player installed on their computer.
Dynamic lightbox alternative to the traditional gallery
Click on the thumbnails to see a clickable presentation of larger photos. Mouse over the top right edge of the larger photo to move on, or over the top left edge to move back. There is space in the larger window to add a caption for each photo. This is powered by the JQuery Lightbox plugin.
Javascript slide shows
If you have three or four really good photos with the same dimensions, why not run them together as a slideshow? There is a range of possible transition effects. The slideshow below uses the uncover transition. Alternatively you might opt for a fade-in transition. (Note the slideshow pauses if you mouse over it.)
Flash animated slide shows
With a Flash slide show it is possible to overlay text on the images and to use effects such as panning and zooming as in the example below.
