Scafell Country Guest House

Self-catering cottage The Folly at Hall Hills

At the Scafell Guest House we aim to give you the best that a traditional Westmorland guest house can offer. The keyword for us is: style. We cater for those who don't just want a guest house that is functional but one that is also stylish. Each of our five bedrooms has been meticulously furnished and decorated so that everything is colour coordinated and in keeping with local Westmorland traditions.

The beds are made of solid Westmorland oak with locally crafted ironwork. The original nineteenth century woodwork in the interior walls and ceilings has been carefully preserved. The same care has been lavished over the private bathrooms. These have period-style tiling and claw-foot baths.

We want you to feel that you are pampered from the moment that you pull up at your private, covered parking space. If you wish, we will serve you complimentary afternoon tea with scones and cream and give you an introduction to the guest house and the area. In your room you will find towels, bath robes and toiletries, and everything you need to prepare your own refreshments.

In the evenings we also serve dinner (booked in advance) and we are one of the few guest houses in the area with a license to serve alcohol.

If there is a special occasion that you want to celebrate and if you want us to arrange something a little out of the ordinary, let us know.
